What prompted the query was the movement of the ground in the back yards of the houses on the old dairy site. James O'Connor mentions a cooling system with water pouring over the roof. Where did the water go ? Was a farm on the site before the dairy. Also the exercise has shown that there is a mass of information on the Belmont /Highton area lying dormant just needing wakening. There were springs in that area ??? Thanks again Peter MacAuslan
Peter, Where did you finally ascertain the dairy was in Roslyn Rd? Certainly west Roslyn Rd at bottom of Highton Hill ie Bellevue Ave now, was a watercourse and east Roslyn Rd descends to the Barwon River flood plain.
