Hello Joy, I suggest you borrow through the library "So Fine A Country : A History of the Shire of Corio" by Ian Wynd - the most comprehensive history on the region. Lara and Anakie are both included in this Shire. It covers the history up to about 1980 and is extensively referenced which will give you ideas on other sources of specific information you might want to follow up. Hope that helps .........
