    3. Hello Merren and everyone, As your great grandmother was born at Steiglitz, you might be interested in the Back to Steiglitz day on Sunday 26th of this month. There will be a lot of photos and other historical information on display, and a number of old residents and others with connections to Steiglitz will be available to talk to. There will also be a listing of the burials in the Steiglitz cemetery - perhaps Henry Nathaniel and Emily Mary are buried there. You might also want to peruse the Steiglitz Miner newspaper which is available on microfilm at the State Library and also the Geelong Historical Records Centre. Issues from 17 June 1893 to 19 Jan 1907 are available. Also the GHRC has Steiglitz rate books for the periods 1866-1878 and 1885-1915, which are an invaluable source of information. 3. Raymond The Steiglitz cemetery is still in use. It is situated about 1 km out of Steiglitz on the Maude (and Geelong) road. A burial register is held by the Steiglitz Historical Society - try the secretary at PO Box 187, Yarraville, 3013, or tel 9315 3018, or email steiglitzg@aol.com. The cemetery register will be available for perusal at the Back to Steiglitz day on Sunday 26 October.
