    3. On Charles OLIVE's death in 1870, his parents were identified as father John, mother Jane Smith. There's a death certificate available for purchase at the Victoria BDM site. Children as follows: Henry, 1865 Duck, father Charles mother Annie REED Reg No 8226 William, 1865 Duck, father Charles mother Annie REED Reg No 21701, so they were not twins. Charles 1867 Duck Pond, father Charles mother Annie REED Jane, 1868 Duck Pond, father Charles mother Annie REED George 1870 Duck, father Charles mother Annie REED There were two marriages for "Annie OLIVE" as follows: OLIVE, Annie married MCLURE John 1873 OLIVE Annie Elizabeth married JONES William 1877 You can find any of these on the Victoria BDM page free for limited info, or pay for certificates. Just google.. There's plenty more about them there I'm sure.. Enjoy. I can't access Geelong District burials no matter how hard I try! So, maybe someone may be able to assist me to research the following people? In 1863 Charles OLIVE married Annie REID, stating that he was born in Tasmania and that his parents were John OLIVE and Jane DAY. Annie said her parents were Edward and Emma REID. HOWEVER, I believe that Annie's and her father's surname was spelt READ, as I found the married of Edward READ to Emma DAVIES in 1843, and they had a daughter Ann Elizabeth born in 1849, and a son William in 1843. Charles OLIVE died in 1870 (he and Annie had 4 sons and 1 daughter between 1865 and 1870). I suspect that Annie married William JONES in 1877, and had a daughter Annie Elizabeth in 1879. They had a son Albert Edward who died in 1954, however I have no idea when or where he was born. This all sounds impossible I know, as I've spent 2 days trying to sort it all out. But I know there are some marvellous people out there who love a challenge, so go to it people. And good luck! 3. Oh, and don't fuss too much about the spelling of REID/READ/REED.. spelling was however it was written down by whoever registered the event.. and that was not necessarily a literate parent.
