Dear listers, I felt I had to share this with you, as it was through this list, and connected web pages etc., that I have caught up with a cousin I haven't seen for many years. Initially, I was browsing the Geelong & District Web pages, and discovered on the books index list a book called 'The Geelong Swiss' which had references to my MATTHEY family. I decided to purchase it, and imagine my pleasure to see in it a previously never known photograph of my g-grandfather, Alfred MATTHEY. A query as to the owner of the photograph, connected me to a cousin I have not seen since I was child. WE are first cousins, once removed, as Alfred MATTHEY is his grandfather. I am going over to Geelong at the weekend, and will be calling to see him and his family.
