G'day from York.U.K. Hello Geelong Listers! I've recently discovered ancestral links with Geelong & District,& wondered if anyone would be kind enough to put some flesh on the skeletons! Details as follows: LAURENCE HENRY PENROSE b HULL,YORKSHIRE 1818.d GEELONG 1908. Back here in the "Old Country",he was a Bookbinder/printer,with a business in Hull,East Yorkshire. His Wife: MARIA PENROSE (NEE PICKERING)b HULL 1819.d GEELONG 1875. There were 2 (that I know of ! ) surviving children: BLANCHE b HULL 1850.d CHELTENHAM,VICT' 1926.(Unmarried?) CAROLINE b HULL 1851.d GEELONG 1897.(Unmarried?) There are several other baptisms & burials of other children recorded after they arrived in Oz' but as far as I know,none of them survived. If there are any kind listers who could add to my limited knowledge of their life "Down Under" I would be most obliged. Very best wishes from a cold,but sunny Spring-like Yorkshire. Thank you.
