I am keen to compile a history of the Pennyroyal district & its families and would be delighted to hear from descendants of any of the following names: WHITE, DUNSE, NORMAN, CLISSOLD, HUNT, LAWRENCE, GILLIES, PYLE, PRIME, GODDARD, ANDERSON, BOWMAN, BROWN, CAMERON, FISHER, HOLIEN, MILKINS, SMITHERS, MILLS, PRICE plus others that I have not yet tracked down. Hi Pam I have a Sarah Jane Milkins, (daughter of James and Granddaughter of Paul Milkins, the convict). She was my Great Grand Mother and she states that she was born in Bambra in 1864 on her marriage certificate. She married Archibald Harper in 1885 at Colac and quite a few of their children were born at Pennyroyal. The LDS website shows 3 Harpers including my Grandmother being born at Pennyroyal in the 1890's. The wife of James Milkins, Sarah Elizabeth (Harris) died at Pennyroyal (6th August 1884) and is buried in Bambra cemetery. Hi, I have a connection to the Lawrence family of Geelong via Ellen (Lawrence)Ward. Does she fit into the Lawrence family you mentioned. Also could you tell me what the Pennyroyal district is as I have not heard that before.
