    3. Thanks for the links Tim. I have a problem accessing data as I live in a small country town in NSW where resources are incredibly limited and more focused on the local area than on Victoria and Tas. Our local library has a total collection of 7 BDM CDs for the whole of Australia. Two of the Victorian Indexes, nothing on Tasmania. Regarding the Tasmanian Archives, you can go to their website www.archives.tas.gov.au and use the link there or you can email them at archives.tasmania@education.tas.gov.au and ask if they can help you with your family research. At least that is how I first approached them :)) There is a charge of around $22 that is invoiced to you when they post out the results of their search, but they'll explain that when they get back to you. That's pretty good value in my book. (Check out the prices that the Bradford Archives charge!) I've been waiting a month now and was advised that it may be another 6 weeks before I get any results... the usual story, they are understaffed and overworked LOL!... but if I get even just one piece of the puzzle then it will be worth it. Sarah Cook is a lady without a past. Every document that lists her has unknown for parents and birthplace. If you go by the age given on her tombstone then she had her last child at age 56! If they can tell me one real fact about her then I will be in seventh heaven. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Tim van der Poel" <vanderpoel@onthe.net.au> To: <AUS-VIC-GEELONG-DISTRICT-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Thursday, February 05, 2004 5:45 PM Subject: [GEELONG] question > > >Have you tried the Gold Fields list? > > 2.
