Fellow Listers I have been privileged to have received a part of a copy of a newspaper article that was written in Feb 1851. It describes a grass fire that burnt a large area at a place called Lake Golar. Names & places in 1851 mentioned are - Mr RAWLINGS farm. Mr Martin DENT farm about 1.5 miles (2.4 kms) away from Mr Rawlings. Lake Golar about 15 miles (24 kms) away from Mr Rawlings. Geelong is about 12 miles (20 kms) to Mr Martin DENT's farm. Is this enough clues to allow someone to give me an idea of where this is located & where or how would I find a map of this area, then & / or now ? I would be most grateful for any help please.
