G'day I would like some help and advice please. I have been doing research on my families that have all lived in the Geelong district, and to now I have had a reasonable amount of success. However I have now come to a point where I would appreciate some real guidance in sorting out dozens of matters that I have little knowledge of. Some of these are shipping records, unregistered births, places of residence, IGI records, identification of photos (etc). Is there a group or Club that I could contact or would it be OK to ask the various questions that I have through this group?. Thanks and regards Ian Donaldson

Hi Ian - depending on where you live I guess the best places to start are the Geelong F amily History Group library, the Geelong Hertiage Centre and the Bellarine Historical Society. All have different resources and volunteers and staff that can talk you through various problems as well as point you in the direction of further research etc. Pam Jennings ----- Original Message ----- From: "Ian Donaldson" <allsure@iprimus.com.au> To: <AUS-VIC-GEELONG-DISTRICT-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Monday, January 05, 2004 10:20 PM Subject: [GEELONG] Help!!!
