    1. [GEELONG] Anne or Jane Murray?

    3. Hello list, I checked the original passenger list today for the "Regulus" at State Records of NSW Kingswood. [SRNSW ref: 4/4814 Reel 2144]. There is a Thomas Murray who immigrated as a single male and an Anne Murray who immigrated as a single female. There was no other assisted passengers by the name of Murray on that voyage. I wonder if there were also un-assisted (full paying) passengers on board as was frequently the case. The above Register only lists assisted immigrants. Regards Selena

    3. Thanks Selena I hadn't thought of the obvious !..Of course it was possible that there were other passengers on board! The Anne on board was RC & I think my lady was Presbyterian as was the Thomas who was aboard. (Jane's father's name was also Thomas so he may have been a brother) I'll see what I can find out about passenger numbers! (maybe a newspaper report?)
