    2. Annette Davis
    3. I am new to this list and wonder if anyone can help me with information on these people. John and Mary Findlay(nee Hobnell) were both born in Aberdeen Scotland, and both died in Geelong. I have their death certificates. John Findley (later changed to Findlay) died Corio Street Geelong 13 Aug 1862 aged 57.He was buried cemetery New Town by J.Monro undertaker and Rev.Fraser,Presbyterian. Occupation was given as Master Mariner. Cert.states he had been 9 years in Vic. Mary Findlay died Off Corio Street Geelong 19 Aug 1895 aged 96. She was buried in The New General Cemetery,Geelong by James Monro undertaker. There was no minister or religion stated but witnesses were Thomas Heanders? and Ebenezer Church. Cert. states she had been in Victoria for 41 years. I have been unable to locate their arrivals and don't know if they came together or separate and if their children came with them. I know one of their children Agnes came to Australia as she married Jonathon Armstrong 11 June 1855 in Colac. I have looked at Mariners lists but can't find a John Findlay, also the two cemeteries mentioned don't appear in the cemeteries list for Geelong and District. Were these cemeteries perhaps known by other names? If anyone can help I would be most grateful Regards Annette Davis
