    3. Hi all I am transcribing ratebooks for the Meredith area and have come across several occurrences of initials in the Occupation or Description of Property columns which I first took to be "NJ" but after finding a single occurrence of the phrase "Novel Industry" written out in full, the initials may be "NI" (as handwritten capitals J and I were often pretty similar). Does anyone know what was meant by the phrase Novel Industry in those days? Cheers Tony Scott
