    3. Hi Wendy, I had a similar problem with one of my ancestor couples where they didn't say what counties they were from in England. They had 10 children in Victoria and I had purchased 8 of them before I got a clue as to which county mother was from and on the 10 it told me where father was from. Both parents death certs also gave me their county of origin. I also found these details on their death and funeral notices in the paper. Have you found Georges Immigration Record? Could he have been a convict? Could he have been married to someone else in Australia perhaps she died and he then remarried. He is quite a lot older that Jane when they married. She being just 18yrs. and he is 38yrs old. best wishes Ann ----- Original Message ----- From: "Wendy Taylor" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Thursday, April 12, 2007 11:49 AM Subject: [GEELONG] George Knight > Hi guys, > Have a mystery George Knight/s in my tree. 3. Wendy This is a long shot but may fit your puzzle one day. I have a George Knight in my tree - maybe an ancestor. The 'Francis' is my line and this family are from the Ballarat area. I knew both William (1903) and George (1905) as elderly men. William was a bachelor and I may still have contacts for George's relatives if you think this is worth pursing; ie could your George James be the same person who married Harriet Francis ??!!! Perhaps I am drawing a long bow! 1 George Knight . +Harriet Elizabeth Francis 1877 - 1947 ..... 2 Violet May Knight 1901 - 1904 ..... 2 William Knight 1903 - 1988 ..... 2 George Knight 1905 - ? ......... +Alice Moriere - 1981 ............ 3 Kevin Knight 1941 - ............ 3 Alice Knight 1944 - Carollyn Williams ----- Original Message ----- From: "Anne" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Cc: <[email protected]> Sent: Thursday, April 12, 2007 5:44 PM Subject: Re: [GEELONG] George Knight > Hi Wendy, > > I had a similar problem with one of my ancestor couples where they didn't > say what counties they were from in England.
