Hi Listers I am a new member to this list and I am trying to find out about my husband s family. Evan REES and wife Naomi nee LEYSHON, together with two children, Catherine and William, arrived in Geelong aboard the 'Guy Mannering' on 20 Aug 1857. The next child, Margaret was b abt 1858 in Ballarat, but the rest of their children (five) were all born in Carngham. Evan was a miner. He died in Egerton aged 58 in 1886. When Naomi died in 1914, she was living in Ballarat at 19 Morres Street, Ballarat. I am wondering if this street still exists. Is there anyone out there who can advise me how to find out any further family history on this lot please? Anything will be most gratefully received. Irene, Morres St Ballarat East/Brown hill still exists. I used www.whereis.com and did a search. carngham also appears on the map just outside ballarat. You could also try the ballarat family history group. http://www.ballaratgenealogy.org.au/ They may be able to help on what records exist for that area. Linda
