Hello Sherrie, Graham & Dorothy, Thank you all for your additional info re: GILLET's from Lara/Geelong region. Graham, I cannot see any connection between your GILLETS and mine at this stage, however they did all emanate from Somersetshire, so you just never know if we can take the line back another generation or so. Dorothy, it looks like our GILLET trees do connect now - I just hadn't taken the line back far enough to make the link. Thanks Sherrie for doing that for us! Sherrie, yes I now do have 10 children for Jacob & Caroline GILLET. If by chance you have researched the descendants of James Thomas GILLETT (1873-1963 son of Jacob & Caroline) and Jane COE, then I would be particularly interested in that line. Am happy to send Sherrie & Dorothy what I have to date. Will contact off list to exchange info. Thanks for your help, Regards, Susan ----- Original Message ----- From: "Sherrie Blackman" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Friday, June 29, 2007 7:12 PM Subject: Re: [GEELONG] Thomas Gillett > Hi Dorothy & Susan, > > I researched your Gillet family some years ago, when I helped a > work colleague with her family tree. :) > > Yes they are related. :) Thomas is Jacob's Uncle. > > Jacob William GILLET's parents were 'William GILLETT & Elizabeth PESTER' > > Willliam's parents are also 'John GILLETT & Mary AUSTIN'. > > John & Mary GILLETT arrived on the 'Oliver Lang' in 1855 with 4 children > that I know of. > > There was also another brother to Jacob & Thomas, James c.1803 died 1876 > Victoria. > > Susan - I have Jacob & Caroline having 10 children? > > Kind regards, > Sherrie. > --- > http://www.silkweb.com.au/
