    3. Are there any old Geelong Methodists out there who can remember a couple who trained and conducted the singing for Sunday School Anniversaries in the 1930s and 40s? We called them "George and Pussy behind their backs, and "George" used to accompany us on his cornet (and probably drowned us out, which may have improved the music). I presume that "Pussy" (people didn't have names in those days, she was just "Mrs Deans") used to play the piano, but can't remember clearly. I do recall her wearing a fur around her neck, and thought the "Pussy" referred to that. But now, researching Highton families, I have found an Eliza Tabitha Glanfield who married a George Deans in 1896, and died aged 99 in 1868 in Geelong. If the "Pussy" stood for "Tabby", this might add up to something. But there were other George Deans - at least one of them a prominent Methodist preacher but definitely not the cornet- playing type. Any information or suggestions? Marion

    3. I have been given instructions on how to put the Pioneer Index onto my hard drive and run it from there with Digger. I can't see how this would be illegal, so is anyone interested if I post the instructions to the list? Gillian Adelaide

    3. Hi Susie, SZ> This is way off topic for a regional mailing list! I realise that, but as genealogists it is very helpful. Gillian
