Hi Ada, Pam, Susie, Lorraine and Rosalyn Just got the following message from Oxfordshire. I can't believe all you wonderful people taking so much time and trouble to get the information for me and even questioning established records! For your information to feed back into your list. William Chaundy was a letter carrier here and was retrained as a mat maker. I have found no record of waiter and general servant in any of the prison records here for him up to the point of his disposal to the ship for the journey. Likewise Hatton, I can't imagine that "eagle dealer" is correct - looks like awful writing and a literal translation! He was taught the trade of tailor, confirmed by his prison record before disposal to his ship. Thanks to everyone. Carol cheers Grahame
