G'day Mary Had to nick down "Pako", so looked for 236 for you. Guess what? If the 236 of today was your 236, then it has been replaced by a new shop development in the last few months. It is near the corner of Gordon Avenue, on the south east corner, and lately was a garage and house [ I seem to recall ]. The numbers for the new development should have been 232-242 going by the numbers that I could see either side. I have taken a photo of the new development if you would like to contact me off list at [email protected] I had thought that you might be able to see the old buildings on Google Earth, but the photo has been taken since the block was cleared. If you have Google Earth go to 38 08 38 29 S, 144 20 52 62 E and you will see the vacant block on the corner. Hope this hasn't disappointed you too much? Let's know if I can assist further. I sometimes get to the Geelong Heritage Centre and could look into 236 Pakington Street further for you.
