Hi Robyn I am interested in this posting...my research is OSBORNE. Do you have any other information on Mary Ann CLARKE nee OSBORNE i.e. Birth Place, Marriage Place?? Could there be a link for me?????? My George OSBORNE was a Licensed Victualler in Geelong. He was born in Bristol UK and emmigrated to Australia in 1853. His family in Bristol UK are listed in the 1841 and 1851 Census and then I lose the girls completely as I haven't been able to trace their married surnames. One of his sisters was Mary Ann OSBORNE. MAYBE?? she also came across to Australia! Anything else Robyn? Hi SAndra, My Mary Ann was teh daughter of William Osborne convict exile on tthe Mailtalnd in 1846 and Maria Goodwin daughter of Convict Thomas Charles Goodwin and Sarah Harrington. Spencer had previously bee married to her older sister Elizabeth who had died in childbirth. WIlliam came from leek in Staffordshire. Where did your George com from? He arrived in Williamstown in Novemebr and I have not been able to find anything about until his marriage to Maria in Geelong in 1852. William was born c 1826 his father was GEORGE OSBORNE mother Sarah (Spilsbury?) He had at least one brother John b c 1828.
