Thank you to those who have replied so far to my query and thanks for the tip about the NLA digitised newspapers. I started off originally looking for the winner specifically in1930. The Ballarat records show that H Norman Menzies from Geelong won the Sun Aria that year in Ballarat, however a Florence Erickson also claims to have won the Sun Aria that year in her (auto)biography. I was wondering whether she won the Geelong version instead. My research has expended and I would now love to be able to compile a complete list of Geelong Aria winners, there needs to be one somewhere for future reference - but these thing have a habit of doing that don't they?
