Thank you Pam for the mention of the Dandy's on the Geelong Cemetery Trust site. I had forgotten about that little gem. I did a search and up popped a number of the Dandy family I was searching for J Again many thanks for that. I did notice though as it has been awhile since I last looked at this site that there has been one major change I noticed. I remember when you used to be able to search for a name and then it would give you the location of the burial and then it also gave you a link to see "who else was buried in the same grave". I see you can no longer do this OR has it moved to some other place I have not looked at? I say this because I had found a "number" of ancestors who were buried in "MASS" graves and it also said who was placed there as well and sometimes I was lucky enough to find a few other family members listed as being buried in the same mass grave. Also does anyone else have a problem with the download of the MAP where they are buried? Thank you all, Melissa.
Hi Melissa, Yes it does still provide all that information. However I think it is the browser that you are using that is giving you the trouble.I user firefox and can not see the map or info and have to go to internet explorer to view it on the Geelong Cemetery site. Some website are just not compatible with other browsers and you have to go back to good old Internet Explorer to get the full function. This is something I have learnt from my son - so it proves you can teach old dogs new tricks.
