    3. Hi everyone - just a reminder for your diaries that there are lots of activities happening in and around the Geelong area during this April weekend. Brochures full of details of all open heritage sites, re-enactments etc are available at the Geelong Heritage Centre, Geelong Libraries etc. regards, Pam Jennings A couple of main events for family historians are: Saturday 17 April 2010:Geelong Heritage Centre - Open Day: - open to visitors from 9.30 am to 5.00 pm. A display of historic collection items and images of Geelong in 1910 will be on display;Plus - Free Seminar Program: Public Record Office Victoria and the Geelong Heritage Centre invite you to a program of free seminars aimed at family and local historians interested in researching and preserving their own heritage. Session 1 10.00 – 10.45 am General introduction to Public Record Office Victoria (PROV) Session 2 11.00 am – 12.30 pm How to use Access the Collection – PROV’s online catalogue Session 3 1.30 – 5.00 pm Pixel Perfect! Looking after your digital photographs Location: Geelong Heritage Centre, 51 Little Malop Street (between Gheringhap and Fenwick Streets), (above the Geelong Regional Library in Johnstone's Park) Geelong 3220 Attendance at all 3 sessions is free but places are strictly limited. You must RSVP by 9 April 2010 to attend one of these sessions. You may attend any combination of sessions that interest you (places permitting).
