Hi Troy I have heard of a group who go under the heading of Random Acts of Genealogical Kindness - I know they are on the internet somewhere. It is a group of volunteers who will do your leg work if you are too far away. You still need to be able to provide the information so that they can head to the correct place ie cemetery or a reasonable date of death if you want an obit. located in the newspaper.
