Hello Listers, Does any kind soul know of schools in Rushworth, particularly in the vicinity of Cockatoo Reef which is along Jones St., opposite the site of 'Smiths the Union' Hotel. I understand the original town was around this area. Have school rolls survived from here for the period 1860-1880? Have other researchers had any success with finding these records? My family names from Cockatoo Reef mine are: James Johnston and wife Jessie (maiden name Jack) & children Christina,b.1859, Lewis,b.1862, John,b.1863, James,b.1866, Alexander,b.1869, Jessie,b.1871 (my grandmother).
