    3. Hello Russell, Would your HARRIS line have connections with Daylesford by any chance? 3. Hello Norm, I do not think I have any of My Harris family out that way. Most of them seem to have settled in the Alexandra Bonnie Doon Euroa Mansfield areas. However saying that later generations spread far and wide. My Harris family starts with Thomas George Harris from (I believe) London. Thomas hooked up with Emma Isabella Richards from Cornwall and they had four children, starting in 1850 Mary Jane in Colac then on to Glenpatrick where they had Thomas John and James. The family then moved to Growlers Gully a few kilometers from Bonnie Doon. The harris family fanned out from there. 3. Thanks Russell, Funnily enough, my HARRIS family line began in London too, and according to my great great aunt`s records, his name was Thomas HARRIS also. But that`s where the similarity ends. My great great grandfather, on his marriage certificate, gives his fathers`s name as Josiah HARRIS, occupation, goldsmith. His sister, my great great aunts records as i mentioned give his name as Thomas, occupation, Watchmaker, so who do i believe. A bit of a Dilemma that one. As you would probably know, there were large numbers of HARRIS`s in the London Area back in the 1800`s. The name appears to have been very common. Thanks for getting back to me Russell, i appreciate it. Norm. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Russell Harris" <growlersgully@yahoo.com.au> To: <AUS-VIC-CENTRAL-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Saturday, August 14, 2004 9:58 PM Subject: Re: [AVC] Harris graves > Hello Norm, > > I do not think I have any of My Harris family out that > way.
