Hi Janet Kingston is about 6km North of Creswick, and Creswick in turn is about 20km North of Ballarat. The closest Family History Society/Group to Kingston is the Ballarat & District Genealogical Society and their website can be found at http://www.ballaratgenealogy.org.au/bgmain.htm The Creswick Historical Museum http://www.goldlinksweb.com/chm/ has information regarding the Kingston area and many of it's people and I would certainly recommend contacting them, as I have found them most helpful with my research in the past.
