Marg The Census act, since its inception in this country, has been very strict in its confidentiality, and as a result, we have been diligently destroying our nations history every five years or so. Only one census that I am aware of survived all of this - one in South Australia that survived the late 1800's. You would have to find a South Australian site with this information. In the history of the Census, there has been only one exception to this rule, and that was the last Census, when the Australian Bureau of Statistics gave us the opportunity to tick yes and have our names placed in a timecapsule. All of those people who are terrified of Censuses because of the confidential nature of them need not fear, because, true to the Census Act, they are all, indeed, destroyed. And, I might add, it's a bit of a shame, because they contain nothing that the Government can't find out about us already. Cheers Chris
