Hi All, I am new to this list and hopefully have the correct one. If not, please accept my apologies. I am interested to know if there would be any listing of residents of Wandong in 1889. I have a copy of a letter written by Catherine NOLAN of Wandong to her cousin [a great aunt of mine] who was living in outer Melbourne. Hello Liz, I'm not sure if a listing of Wandong residents is going to help you except perhaps show someone by the name of NOLAN living in the area - your problem seems to be how does someone by the name of NOLAN connect into your family, however you don't mention the surname of the your family. I'd be inclined to say the first step is to find out if Catherine NOLAN is her unmarried name or her married name ............ I would actually be searching the Vic Marriages or births for a couple where he or the children have the surname of NOLAN and the mother's name is Catherine xxxxxx where xxxxx is your family name.
