Hi, I am new to the list. My ancestors, John and Eliza MCDONALD/MACDONALD purchased land in Upper Plenty in 1855, this land is now owned by Uncle Ned's Riding School. They came from Fort William, Scotland in 1849. Of Their eight children only one survived, Alexander. He married Jessie PRITCHARD, his second cousin. Jessie's parents were Mary MCDONALD and Arthur PRITCHARD of Melton. Mary MCDONALD'S parents were Alexander MCDONALD (brother of John I think)and Flora MCEACHERN also from Fort William. One of Flora and Alexander's sons married Rosanna ROE and settled in the Shepparton area. Any connections out there?
