As the majority of my ancestors were buried at Alexandra Cemetery over the last 100 to 150 years, including some I don't know of, I would very much like to know if anyone has done a database of the records or headstones? I live in Qld and have made a few forays to this cemetery on my occasional hols to Victoria, but it is slow going and I always leave knowing that I missed more than I have found. Has anyone ever suggested that all genies who have deaths registered in Alex, submit their details for a website? am I being naive? As I plan to have my father's grave marked soon, I will need to know how to ensure that the marker is put on the correct grave also!! Any suggestions as to how to go about contacting the Cemetery Trust or whoever keeps such records? With thanks to anyone who can help.
