    3. Good Morning All, Can someone please tell me when McIvor Shire combined with the City Of Bendigo? I have a relative (John Joseph Clancy) that lived on McIvor St in 1856 & have had trouble tracking down info on him. Many thanks & I look forward to hearing from you, Scott D'Ornay Randwick, Sydney -----Original Message----- From: Christine Randall [mailto:crandall1@vtown.com.au] Sent: Friday, 3 January 2003 22:51 To: AUS-VIC-CENTRAL-L@rootsweb.com Subject: [AVC] Shire of McIvor book "McIvor - A History of the > Shire and Township of Heathcote" by J. At last enquiries a $30 chq or money-order would get it mailed to you - but you better check that first. 3. Scott, > Can someone please tell me when McIvor Shire combined with the City Of > Bendigo? I have a relative (John Joseph Clancy) that lived on McIvor St in > 1856 & have had trouble tracking down info on him. It was a few years back now, only a relatively recent event. There is a McIvor Road in Bendigo, turns into the McIvor Hwy which leads to Heathcote. In the book, there is Ann Clancy, a witness in the "McIvor Gold Escort Robbery 1853" case. She knew John Francis and Wilson and they had given her a bag of gold to take ashore from the "Madagascar" and she left it with Matthew Murray, the landlord of the Railway Hotel at Sandridge (Port Melbourne). It doesn't say if she knew them in Heathcote or just on board ship - so she may never had been in Heathcote!
