This means anything older than 15 years will have been destroyed. Any matter concluded in the 1970s would no longer be retained, and in the 1970s, we had no other methods of saving data, as we might for more recent cases. Sorry we were not able to help you with this matter, and we wish you well with your family history research. So no way to tell if this James was the person we hoped it was.
