Mary Ann Elizabeth Aylwin was born 14th May 1848 in Adelaide Street, in the parish of St Peters, Saint Albans, Hertfordshire, England. I have not found a marriage of Henry Aylwin to Catherine Maynard, nor have I found them in any census together. On Mary Ann Elizabeth Aylwin's birth certificate it says that Henry was a "Hawker". In the 1871 census Catherine says she is a "Widow" and she is living with Mary Ann Elizabeth. In the 1881 census Catherine says she is a widow and "formerly a Travellers Wife".
