I will give you a little of the background hoping it will be of interest. Betsy was my mothers youngest aunt who worked in hotels etc until 1917 when she met someone who said 'come to Australia and look after me'. Jack came to visit the Rentons my mothers family in Stainforth in1942 and his photograph hung on Grandmas sitting room wall for years. I have recollections of Betsy coming to the UK in 1950 to visit Jacks grave. A very sad story about a very plucky woman. Until today I had no idea of her married name so I have struggled trying to track her down. Now I need to dust off my passport to visit Belgium. I also need to find out if there were any more children-I think not but!
