Some passenger lists have been listed for Victoria on the PROV site. I cant find a number of my relatives arriving. If you can't find any births for the children then you need to look at other States. Although I do know that the indexes from Victoria are missing a lot of registrations. Perhaps if you go online to the Registrar of BDM for Victoria you may have more luck. This is a pay to view site but would b worth it just to check the indexes.
