Her sister Mary Henrietta Scrutton married Charles Hime in 1857, and had a daughter Rosa Eveline Hime who married William Raleigh Sayers, the son of Edwin Mawney Sayers. Therefore a bit of a distant connection. Interestingly this morning I was at the re-opening of the Graythwaite Estate in North Sydney, which I gather was originally owned by the Sayers family as part of Euroka. It was later purchased by Thomas Dibbs, who re-built the house, re-named the estate "Graythwaite" and later bequeathed it for use as a convalescent home in WW1.
