Hello John, The family was Church of England denomination. There were six children in all. As you noted, Edward died in Tasmania. I have all the bdm's of the children and also Thomas and Ann Hume except for Mary's death and possible marriage. I have all previous facts before Tasmania, I need a bit of direction regarding Electoral Rolls and Census records to find the family immediately after their arrival in Melbourne. The first record of a family member on the mainland was the marriage of Augusta Sarah Hume in 1861 at Deniliquin, NSW.
