He left for Australia shortly after his first wife Jane Bowden passed away in 1879. He left his young son Thomas Henry Cousins (1875) with his grandmother (Rebecca Cousins) in South Wales. I have no idea if Caleb ever had any contact with his son (my great grandfather) and would love to hear from anyone who may have information about him. I thought it worth asking as my mother mentioned that my gran used to write to an Aunt Mirrie in Australia but she didn't know how they were related. The only person I've found so far on my tree would be Caleb's daughter, Miriam Grace Cousins, sister to Ruby Gwendaline, Lily Violetta etc. If it was her, then this gives me hope that Caleb did keep in touch with his family in Wales.
