Morwell Advertiser, Vic, Thursday 24 April 1952: 14 Year Old Drove Truck. For having allowed his fourteen year old son to drive a truck along the Princes Highway on December 16, of last year, John Richard Edwards was fined £5. First Constable C., Sinclair, of the Mobile Traffic Branch told the court that he intercepted a truck on the Highway between Yallourn and Morwell and saw a youth sitting at the wheel. He was told that Edwards had become ill at Rosedale and had allowed his son to drive.
