    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Author: jesslothian Surnames: Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.oceania.australia.vic.general/11536.1.1/mb.ashx Message Board Post: Andrew Oliver arrived on the Indian Ocean in 1854 and according to his mother's death certificate died within a month. I have never been able to find a death certificate, burial record or anything else to confirm exactly when or how he died (not helped by Portland Cemetery records being lost in a fire). We do know that several people from the Indian Ocean were quarantined at Blacknose Point and suspect he may have been one of them. If I could see records I could see if his name or a variation of it appears on a register of the sick or deceased. His niece Helen Oliver, aged 3, died on board the ship. 3. I'm guessing that you have viewed the assisted shipping index on the PROV website? It looks as though 2 or 3 siblings came out with their families. : > > Andrew Oliver arrived on the Indian Ocean in 1854
