I was hoping if we could find a marriage for James that it would tell his father and mothers names and that way we could be sure I haven't got the money to just buy certificates unless I am sure of the data, I can't see any marriages on my ancestry that may even be him. His father is James Sim born 1971 south shields migrated to Australia then back to England to arrange for Beatrice armstrong and children to follow. The last one of her children was fathered by james sim and although named James Armstrong when he got to Australia he went by the name of James Sim (too many James Sim!) he was born in 1926. James and Beatrice married in 1927 in victoria and they all settled in Geelong. As far as I know no one had any contact with his first family after moving to Geelong. Yes I did purchase James and Beatrice marriage certificate which had all the children living at the time of 1927 and also purchased James 1871 death certificate, which named all his children but never said if they were alive or not.
