BENNETT, A Casterton Appears to be Amy Sarah BENNETT, (nee COWLAND), 32 year old wife of Francis Alexander BENNETT (1850-1932) when she signed the Women's Suffrage Petition at Casterton in 1891. Amy Sarah COWLAND was born 1859, Ballarat, Victoria, daughter of William Unwin COWLAND and Susannah Maria ARNOLD. She married Francis Alexander BENNETT (1850-1932) in 1878 and they had 6 children at Horsham, Buangor, Dimboola and Casterton. Francis and Amy both died in Melbourne, Francis in 1932 and Amy in 1937. .........
