My great great grandmothers husband left her she then got friendly with a neighbour. As far as our family new when they got their own place together she changed her surname to his and just pretended to be married. Well, i got her death certificate yesterday which says "Second Marriage, 37 years to John James Rodgers" Ive had a look in the indexes and cant find a marriage, but i also noted in the electrol roles she actually lived with a Burnard Rodgers not John James. So im a bit stuck and confused. Oh her name is Dorothy Mildred Westlake, first marriage was to Ernest William Heywood.
