Another possible story is that she came to Queensland from England in 1887. She was born in 1862 at Westhampnett in Sussex to Frank Aylmore NORKETT and Jane AYLING. She had a brother named Willis Hurlstone NORKETT who was born in 1860. I see from your earlier enquiry that Annie says her father's name was Frank Earlstone NORKETT, so I think that is a fairly solid connection there. Father Frank died in 1864 so Lavinia would not have known him. The family can be followed in census records and on FreeBMD.
