I am going to get their marriage certificate - hopefully that will give me a clue about Joseph's parents and where he was born. It sounds like Sarah may have been a 'lady of the night'..lol. There were other articles on Trove where she was charged with being drunk and also for bad language! I also thought Anna's surname may have been DRAPER, but after much searching, I found nothing under that name either. It doesn't sound like Joseph was a nice man, so perhaps Charlotte took off after she got to know him. Anyway, hopefully one day I will unravel the mystery.
