Author: 1_paul_mckay Surnames: Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.oceania.australia.vic.general/8353.2.1.1.1.1.1.1.1/mb.ashx Message Board Post: Ok, trying to get this straight in my mind, this is the PCM born Chelmsford Essex England 1921, if this is the case, he married 4 times in the UK one of those being illegal, from those relationships there was at least 2 children, one a girl born in 1950 myself 1951, he married again in 1955, I think he went to Australia with her in 1955/56, I loose track of them at this point, however he was in the merchant navy and I have found his merchant navy papers in the UK national archives, the last entry was PCM arriving in Australia as a crew member of the SS Strafeden in 1958, out of interest have you tried contacting the current occupier of the address in Melborne.
