Thought someone might be able to locate his convict record even if only to rule him out I think this JL is the same fellow who was charged with theft a couple of times 1832 and 1833 ( old papers) Name: Joseph Lee Birth Year: 1809 Age: 24 Immigration Date: 1829 Vessel Arrived In: Hellsdale Date of Admission/Photo: 1833 Gaol: Sydney Gaol Location: Sydney, New South Wales Record Type: Description Book haven't been able to find any ship with that name though I am currently wading through the UK National archives Convict lists ( there are thousands of them) to see if I can spot a JL...maybe someone on the List knows how to research NSW convicts Cheers Jocelyn Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
