Author: sciencegeek Surnames: Scholtz, Matthews Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.oceania.australia.vic.general/11023/mb.ashx Message Board Post: I am trying to find out what happened with my 2x Great Grand Uncle Jochem Cornelis Scholtz (John Cornelius Scholtz)(B 1890 Amstelveen, Amstelveen, Noord-Holland, Netherlands) I've found the first world war records for both him and his brother Jan Scholtz (Jack Scholtz) in the AIF. My line is from his brother Jan. What I have found so far is that he married Mary Jane Matthews in Melbourne, Victoria in 1923. I've also found him on the electoral roll for quite a few years in Darebin, Victoria. On some of the later ones there is a John Daniel Scholtz living in the same house as John and Mary.
