What an absolute shame that no details have been recorded- all this hope and expectation too! Argh. maybe they both had backgrounds they didn't want to show. Certainly Sarah had a case to answer! the death cert may not shed any more light either - I have been wondering if Joseph's daughter Charlotte may have left her husband and gone to live with Dad - if so, she may be the informant for his death and may have gleaned some family info to put on a death cert...but it requires money again to buy a cert, so I guess it depends how far you want to go I have had a quick look for Charlotte STOREY hoping there is a link to the name Charlotte...seems she may have married John COOK 1863 in Victoria. It might be interesting to see who the witnesses were she is not the girl who died in Vic 1880 ...and sure enough there she is in the papers - so she must have been a friend of Sarah's!
